Reggie_Perrin Jon i had a top 1992 long sleeved, floppy white collared, mint green one with a huge round red felt "Casino" sponsor on the front. Fucker got nicked from Rothwell sports centre changing room. Cunts.
Harvest I had a Marc O'Polo green T shirt, mid 90s, white neck and cuffs, looked a bit like a St Etienne shirt. Bought in Sarah Coggles, York and wore it to death, I loved that shirt. Carry on.
cordshoes Jon There was also the cycling top in Watford-ish colours....R/Y/B Plus oversized Aertex teabag American football shirts.
Raposa cordshoes Good shout I got lucky with that St Etienne shirt, mate let me have his cheap after buying one and deciding it was too small. Had a yellow cycling top too, looked decent under one of those leather Roxy jackets you could get from the underground market in Manc.
Jon cordshoes What book is it from? I don’t remember American football shirts. The cycling top thing was before I’d cottoned onto what was going on. Mohair jumper and taking your Levi’s in Le Coq Sportif tennis trainers. Jesus, I was badly dressed and things haven’t improved much over the decades.
CBIT Jon don’t remember American football shirts I remember them in scouseland 79/80ish when i used to go visit my old fella, don't think they ever caught on in Leeds
cordshoes bottom left screams 1980. Even down to the clothes being nearly right, but still not the bona-fide wedge in place.
