Placid I've not used a bus in Sheffield for over 30 yrs so can't comment, plus you were coming into the city from the shit side, so count yourself lucky someone didn't relieve you of your watch and iphone.
If you imagine Sheffield as a clock face; between 6 and 9 is where it's at, you, for whatever reason, were arsing about on the lowest rung of public transport at 12. Chapeltown, Ecclesfield, Parson Cross, Southey, Wadsley Bridge, Hillsborough, Upperthorpe, Netherthorpe and Broomspring. Nothing ever good comes from dallying in any of those places. 🤷
