white_dragon Me and my mate thumbed it down to London in 5 hours . Only got as far as Birmingham 12 o'clock the next day , on the way back, mates dad came and picked us up. Sneaked in Wembley, managed to get a piece of turf all the way home in my pocket.
white_dragon Harvest Scotland had been at Wrexham the weekend before and had a great time with them . We only decided to go , the day before , plus a big Leeds portion of the Scotland team. Anti England, no not me 😅
Flaneur I used to work to the right of that building for over 10 years - Paternoster Row (The Showroom).
Flaneur That’s the one, worked in their for ages and also went to Hallam Uni. Good times, I loved Sheffield and the vibe of the place and people.
Flaneur I worked there 1997 - 2008. Fiend of mine lived on The Wybourn. He’s got a big house in Ecclesfield? now.
Raposa Flaneur Ditto from 2012 to 2016 . I looked after 3 buildings in Sheffield centre. One at the bottom of Parkway just off the main roundabout ,one in Fountain Precinct opposite John Lewis near the town hall and the other right next to the Cathedral. I quite like Sheffield city centre, not as big and as sprawling as some and the tramlines running alongside Cathedral Court give it that traditional Euro city appeal I also like what they've done with the water feature just outside the station . I've worked in worse places put it that way.
Raposa Harvest We lasted ten minutes in their main stand and got turfed out. Plod wouldn't let us back in with the Leeds lot. Long way to go to be sat outside in that little park area drinking cider.🤨
Cooley Harvest I always assumed you were a sensible, cord-wearing, law-abiding chap. Bit of a Quaker. In the nicest possible way, of course. Brighton nick???
Cooley Leeds always gave a good photo. Christ, I bet West St was a bit lively that night. If only I’d have taken more pics back then..
Harvest Misura I've got a few like that, I often had a camera with me. I wish now that it was more often.
Precinct_Boy Misura Yes they were well built, they got new plumbing & electrics done. Did similar in the Meanwood area in Leeds which were all demolished less than 20 years later !
Jon Harvest That’s the sort of clobber I used to get handed down from my cousins. I used to regret the fact I ran away whenever the camera came out. In hindsight, it’s one of the few things I did right in life.
