Shame Cruyff decided to retire from international football before the tournament. However, it wasn't until Germany in 2014 that a European team won a WC in South America and I remember some real shenanigans by the Argentinians pre match because one of the Dutch players had a cast on his wrist. I don't think the Netherlands were destined to win a major tournament in the 70s, which is a shame.
