The top picture was shown to me today by my dad (crew neck) with his elder brother hed just finished his time as a technician with the RAF and treated himself to the car a 1933 Alvis firefly with a racing beetle back , that day they drove all round yorkshire and the dale’s the photo was taken in 1960 my dad would of been 16 , he dug out the photo and told me the tale of the car and their journeys around yorkshire today , his brother in the photo my uncle sadly recently passed away . So i did a bit detective work and found the car which is now in a private collection outside birmingham (lower photo) , he’s made up that the car still exists and to see it looking majestic , i’m going to follow on this story and hope to contact the owners and show them the above photo and tell the stories of my dad and uncle driving it , made my olds man day has this 👍🏼
