I worked on stuff with pretty much all of them in, met a few of them. It was mostly TV, a lot of Screen One's or Screen Two's for the BBC. The trouble for them was that prior to "Four Weddings And A Funeral" most British Features were too worthy for their own good or worse, the good of the wider industry. Making something that sold tickets was almost frowned upon. Even Four Weddings was only allowed about 2 months of praise and adulation before being dismissed as commercial fluff by the Gaurdianista film caucus. The upshot being that a generation of actors never got as good a opportunies thath they should have had.
