The Look of Love - no, not Fry and the boys but Coogan once again playing Partridge playing someone else - this time (see what i did there??) Paul Raymond of the Raymond Revue Bar/Men Only and charting his rise from a lovable scouser arriving in that there with 5 bob in his pocket to becoming the uk's richest man, with more tits than you could shake a shitty stick at.

CBIT I watched this film this week.
Was a decent enough tale/romp, but I did feel Coogan was again playing a version of Anthony H Wilson from 24 Hour Party People.

This rarely-seen socio-realist documentary foregrounds the lives of migrant Irish labourers in Britain of the 1960s. Labouring sequences and interviews are interwoven with the journey of a young man from a remote village in the West of Ireland to London. Enriched by a score supervised by Seamus Ennis, with the traditional Irish singing of Paul Lenihan and Joe Heaney and the lyrics of Peggy Seeger and Ewan McColl.

Placid Watched 1 and 2 a while back. Decent films. Chalomet is good.

Watched Shutter Island at the weekend. Trippiest film I've seen in a while. Quite disturbing towards the end. Great.

Great film, did you guess what was happening, its one of those films you can watch again because you miss a lot of the clues to the story

It started to dawn on me just before it was revealed. I'm pretty slow on the uptake. Great twist! Yeah I immediately wanted to watch it again knowing what I knew.

Placid Just watched it. Torrent. What an unsettling piece of work. The acting is superb, Graham, Riseborough, Boon and the young lad are outstanding. Graham still carries menace to a perfect degree for a road safety officer. It gets a bit Fred an Rosemary West before retreating. Not an easy watch but well worth it. Great film.
