The Outrun. Alcoholic lassie returns to Orkney from London to recover. Father is bi-polar. Mother has found god. Not a happy happy film, but rather excellent. Handles very difficult subject matter in a very direct way. Begs the question though, what the fuck would anybody want to live up there? Mrs DJP's dad lives on Shetland and I've often asked him the same question.
