Watched Escape To Victory as my lad had never seen it. It's better than I remember, it'll never win any Oscars but it's not completely dire.
One thing that did get on my threepennies though is something that I've found in a few films and it annoys me more than it should. It's the 1940s and there's Sly Stallone with his huge 80s hairdo, Osman the same. The crowd are running on with long hair, jeans and cheesecloth shirts. I know it's not big budget but at least give the main stars a trim.
It's why Quadrophenia gets on my wick. He's there at the start being all moddy in mid 60s London whilst riding his scooter past Ford Capris and Morris Marinas parked outside kebab houses. I realise you're meant to adopt the suspension of disbelief rule when watching a film but it can be a test when there's a beige Austin Allegro plastered across the screen.
