Watched "Jackie" again with Nathalie Portman. First time, I saw it in a school basketball arena where I was one of maybe 20 people. The sound was way up there and bounced around so I had the impression Portman was screaming a lot and being incoherent a lot and I hated the whole thing. But, like an ear worm, it kept popping up in my head and I had to see it again. I'm glad I did. Portman is riveting as Jackie Kennedy as her whole world is literally removed in a few days. She is vulnerable and solid, distraught and hard as nails. John Hurt as a battered Catholic priest is masterful and Billy Cudrup was just perfect as the journalist. If you like girls being on top, this one is for you.
