Reggie_Perrin On the one hand yes, but on the other hand not really, Putin could whack Poland for example, Nato would have to respond and he would then attack all Nato nations, Russian missiles would end up in the UK in any event I think. He hates us anway, tiny little island capable of wiping Russian population centres off the map just as much as they can do to us. For a little man with a large ego and inferiority complex, that must sting.
Missiles aside, I could definitely see FSB overseas opps taking out a senior British Minister or two, even Johnson himself, so, every cloud.
My main concern is that if Ukraine start to get hammered (or FSB agents take out Zelenskyy), then strategically they would have nothing to lose but to get Nato involved. i.e. Ukraine special opps blowing up strategic targets in Poland, Lithuania, Germany etc. Then we have a very very bad problem on our hands. I also fear that DPRK have been handed a potential massive opportunity to help Russia blow the West to bits. Not sure that would be in his interest though, if the warheads start flying, may as well send one to Pyongyang, if we go go down, may aswell take fatty Arbuckle Kim with us.
My imagination is likely on overtime, but I do like to game things out.
