few gigs coming up

I’ve been to loads of gigs on me tod. Probably prefer it than going with someone. Don’t bother anymore though. Last time I went to a gig must have been 10 years ago.

Jon Would you go to small gigs? Big crowds freak me out at the moment. Went to Chester Zoo earlier in the summer and hated it. Just too many people and the general public in this country are largely cretinous. Felt exhausted for days afterwards.

Cooley Good point. I hate zoos but you know... kids and that. All the animals always look like they are reflecting my own feelings. The most horrible animals of all there were undoubtedly the humans.

Cooley There was a scouse bird who wouldn't wear a mask at the food till. She had a massive fake gob. You could tell that covid had been a real downer for her after spending so much on her lips. Shouting at her daughter for fuck all.

Turned down a ticket for Pete docherty for next Monday. Mixture of can't be arsed, working at 6 the next day and not wanting to mix in a crowd.

This is a terrible thing to admit but i got offered a ticket for New Order at Heaton Park last Friday at 7pm. All I had to do was get there as quick as I could. I was just layering up a lasagne and had planned to watch War Horse with the lad after tea. The thought of driving to Prestwich in all that traffic and trying to find somewhere to park was a bridge too far.

fuzzy DHM asked me if I wanted him to put me on the guest list when they played Roseland. I hadn’t seen them since the 90s, I never cared much for Roseland. I passed.

We once stayed in when we had tickets for The Seahorses because it was raining.

Missed Grant Lee Buffalo because it was cold out.

Misura Don't, particularly, mind the odd tune but wouldn't rush to see them, live.
Saw the abomination that is Peter Hook and the Light, at the Keswick Mountain Festival, a couple of years ago and that was worse than seeing an infant school's nativity play.
Edited to say that I got in for nowt, being an employee of an exhibiting company.

heyho I was at the Alton Towers gig. Tim was funny, in his soft spoken, slightly posh voice at the beginning of the gig saying "thanks for all the wonderful gifts" at the meditation cushions and incense sticks etc being thrown on stage. A few songs in he was shouting "Stop throwing fucking hard objects!" Good gig, i enjoyed it. Enjoyed PIL too.
