Only saw a portion of Matt Deighton as I had to do pick my son up from the airport.

What a pleasure. He is very very good. His playing some of the best I have ever seen & heard. I thought how is he doing that but he isn’t even looking at what he is doing. Thankfully he is playing near me again in a couple of months.

I cannot recommend him highly enough . Superb.

The Wedding Present were right enough. Not like the rush of seeing them in 85/86 though.

Completely mad seeing David Gedge manning the merch stand, pre-gig and being there again 5 minutes after they came offstage.

The place was fucking rammed. No a bad venue, apart from being a twat to get to, and having to traipse outside for a piss.

Lightning seeds and Madness last night , first direct arena. Lightning seeds are a band that unites me and Mrs D. Ian Broudie is ace , his son is on guitar with him as well.Enjoyed them very much , probably only 3/4 full for them though.
Madness set list , probably had too many flat spots of new songs for the majority of their fans. Though banged out the oldies at the end, I think they'd lost some of the crowd by then , not the usual bouncing atmosphere you associate with them .
All in all a good gig.
Already booked booked tickets for Lightning Seeds next year as every time we seen em they have been the support.
