Mega_Armageddon_Chickens AndreWeimaraner We knocked it after the Manic crowd.. My daughter had got too fed up. I got fed up listening to Vernon Kay's DJ efforts. Especially as the assembled crowd appeared only to want to mouth the words of Real Gone Kid to their Patagonia clad partners. Gary Davies was on before him. It must be a modern thing but a tune comes on, the people scream tune, dance for 10 seconds... Then text their absent friends that they've just played that song by I dunno Men Without Hats.. Then they go back to discussing how child A's accommodation is costing a fortune. I'm just too fuckin miserable. Anyway thats Moor Park fucked in the event there are still football matches played there.
AndreWeimaraner Mega_Armageddon_Chickens Yes, there was a lot to tolerate (and obviously you don’t want your children to be next). If I’d been on my own, I might not have even bothered going in the end, but really pleased to finally see PSB.
Jon Mega_Armageddon_Chickens I’m just too fuckin miserable. Pull up a chair. I didn't realize Patagonia had reach such depths in England. I've been wearing it for over 20 years on account of the quality rather than any fashion consideration, though I haven't bought anything new for the last five years or so.
CBIT AndreWeimaraner but really pleased to finally see PSB. did you get the full 2 hour dreamworld set ? Its ace isn't it, seen it a couple of times recently
AndreWeimaraner CBIT yeah, it was that set. Absolutely superb. Maybe not quite two hours, but getting on that way. There were no “big” songs I could think of that they didn’t play and it sounded as though it was similar to the set they played in Leeds arena. Really glad I went despite the shitty weather … and having to see Shed Seven! 😁
Under-the-ground Lloyd Cole live in Exeter. Nearly 2hours but with the acoustic. Good value & evening . He’s still good
Travis_Bickle The Jonas Brothers at Co-op Live. They played for two and a half hours. Kids loved it. Was nowhere near as bad as I expected. Backing band were very good. The eldest reckoned the drummer 'loves his half time and big triplet fills'. I was impressed. The lad's first proper gig. Bit different from his old man's....
CBIT Travis_Bickle had a similar experience when I took the daughter to see Sclub7 , nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. Green Day at the MK bowl however….
Jon Had a great time with my eldest when she was young at Noel Gallagher’s first US gig. Also a great time with my youngest at My Morning Jacket. And a great time with my middle one at Mick Head in Leeds earlier this year.
Travis_Bickle Jon the eldest is now trying to persuade her Mum to let her have her ticket for Chris Stapleton in Manchester. Can't see it working.
Under-the-ground Off to see Ride tonight. I am hoping they bring out all the effects. I need something to blast my head off for an hour
Under-the-ground Took a while to get going. A fair few of the new one, but their drummer is one of them who doesn’t look as if he is even playing, but he’s very good. Not a bad night, worth it just for leave them all behind & dreams never end
Under-the-ground Brilliant Coldplay tickets for their new tour coming soon for next year. Chris Martin is a great front man and so cool
Mega_Armageddon_Chickens Under-the-ground I'm not a fan but I see they're donating 10% of the profits from the Hull and Wembley gigs to the Music Venue Trust..
