Back from Jason Isbell. What can I say. Superb. Him & St Vincent the best I have been to this year.
His band are master musicians. The rockier tracks blew me away. That king of oaklahoma one 2nd song in was like an encore. I know the acoustic stuff he does better . Not many can do that as well as him. He is one of the greats for me. What a great evening. Yes everyone should see Jason Isbell.

Under-the-ground Really good venue that. As mentioned above, I saw Bramwell there a couple of weeks ago. Loads of beers, fairly reasonably priced. Small without being claustrophobic.

Foxy_Dread When I was home earlier in the year DHM introduced me to their guitar tech. He said they were playing brilliantly. That convinced me to go to the Brooklyn show a few weeks later. Technically, he was right, they did but Mac's voice? I left after 5 or 6 songs.
