Jeez, some beauts are whoppers aren't they.
That woman in front of me... I'd say around 40. I stand behind her and six people socially distance behind me. Bloke turns up and says "I'll stand here". I thought he'd done his shop and was on his way to the car. Thought he was having a catch up with her.
45 minutes later, the queue snakes it's way to the front door and through their conversation (part Daily Mail, part perving at her), I work out that he's not with her, but he knows her.
Questions like "Do you have any sisters" gave it away.
They go in together and split up. I'm following the guidelines, letting people in, waiting my turn to get food off the shelves. I turn a corner and he's there in front of me.
Me; "Excuse me, see that lady over there? are you two together?"
Him; "No, she's a mate".
Me; Ah right, so how come you you arrive after me and another six people behind me, and you are in here before me?
Him; "Splutter, shrug, splutter."
Me; "So you think that's fair then?".
Him; "Splutter, shrug, splutter."
Had to do it. Felt bad that I did that, should have let it go.
