Still same - Bintulu, East Malaysia. But was a frantic for the past few months.
Started off when my ex colleague asked me to join him. Went to see the bosses to tell them I was leaving in one week, it was a carnage.
The first assignment was to go to our headquarters in Lyon, France. And then I had to handover 2 and a half years of work to someone who has absolutely no idea, while starting to do work for my new company, and applying visas and everything to go to France in two weeks. Travelling during these bat virus times is a nightmare.
So I was in France for 5 weeks, first time I set foot in Europe. I really like the city. Didn't visit Paris, but did Toulouse as a part of work. I loved the Bouchons, I absolutely loved the bread and fromage and biere. It was just nice because they had just begun to loosen the covid restrictions, so it was just like normal days, everyone out on the streets, dining in, bars and restaurants are all open.
I was constantly moving because of the non-planning and schedules. Stayed in the 3rd Arrondisement, and then Vaulx-en-Velin, Laurent Bonnevay, and finally Cusset, with a few one night hotel stays in and out of Lyon.
And then another nightmare when returning to Malaysia, was in quarantine for 21 days. Four swab tests (since I left France) later, here I am, six months project, and employment. Would love to have extension but its really up in the air.
