Not now but last night, St Kertgens Irish Social club, Fallowfield… No Surrender meets Shameless meets Narcos.
We got there early so went in the tap room, 2 blokes having a meeting about reffing GA games.
Was also 4 men in tracksuits been on it all day and taking turns in the khazi. Proper thick manc accents. They were sound enough didnt bother us, just doing their own thing, loudly.
All of a sudden about 30 x 60/70 year old irish blokes turned up like bus trip from Craggy Island all bought ale then went into another room. Old Gregorians ex players annual piss up.
We were in the big room with balloons, indie disco, hot pot buffett with kids running round having fun sliding on their knees etc. At our 50th and a Mariachi band turned up all very surreal but ace The lady whos birthday it was has a Mexican husband, was totally random a few Narcos looking mexican dudes drinking pints and dancing to The Cure and The Smiths. Lovely people tbh and a great night.
