Ah, the good old Airport Bar. Back in the day when I used to drink for Wales, I lived in Redhill, Surrey for a short while. I used to like a drink at about 6am of a morning - nothing too heavy, just half a dozen pints to get me going. Back then, the local Wetherspoons didn’t open until 9am, and the only way I could get a drink was the bar at Gatwick, so off I’d pop on the train. Get my pints in, train back, and straight into ‘spoons to crack on. I would like to say happy days, but looking back, I’m not so sure.
