Tolley Turned out to be only 40 mins or so , though it was packed when we got in. The exhibition was excellent. 120+ works from across his career, loans from all over the world including the Salts Mill 1853 gallery’s series from the Wolds that I’d seen there with my dad 8 years ago, and had taken a photo of him and my son in front of that I love.
Queues had become much longer by the time we left but I hope worth the wait for those in it. Brought home to me how high Hockney’s renown is
I really like Saltaire. The way the mill was renovated was ahead of its time, and there’s the chapel and its grounds, the canal and the weir, the Victorian park. Decent shops to poke around in as I remember from last time I was there. Plus Saltaire Blonde
