I've been looking at properties up the coast at Ponta do Pargo. It's about 50 mins drive from Funchal, but its rugged, dramatic & beautiful up there. The land has a lush, west coast of Ireland verdancy about it.
If you fired a rifle off the cliff top, out to sea, the first person the bullet would strike would be someone sat on a deck chair on a beach in South Carolina.
