Loose_Lips first time I've been in. Worth a visit. I had one of those 'turning into your parents' moment or, more specifically, a turning into my Mum moment. I found myself bemoaning new-build houses and how closely they're packed together with one of the guides, a lady in her 70s, and then spent an age chatting to a bloke about the carved inscription above a fireplace from 1648, the origin of the name 'Murgatroyd' and off the expression 'plastered', as in, I drank 15 pints and the 'politics' of West Yorkshire in the Civil War. Lovely bloke. Really passionate about it all.
The Mrs and the kids left me to it and found the tearoom.
