Tokyo immigration office. Been here 3.5 hours as 49 people in front of me have been called. 35 to go. All because the text on my ID card, issued 4 years ago, has started to rub off despite being in a slip case, and my birth date is illegible. Wife reckons airlines won’t let me check in when I come to return after being abroad if I present it. So here I am. 2 to 2.5 hours to go at a guess. Phone and Kindle for company.
