Drizzly today, but there was a pause that enabled us to take the dogs on the huge beach.
Feels like all the holidaymakers have gone home now, to prep for school starting this week. Yesterday was busy everywhere and the sunshine helped.
Some photos - just before the last one, I spotted in the distance what I thought was a kite, pushed into the sand. It was actually a cormorant, wings spread wide, drying them out - for a good ten minutes, just stood there.
A cormorant, ninety minutes before the most angst-inducing match we play every year. Would it be a portent I wondered...
