Djpekingman YoungParisian_inExile Reminds me of the last time I was in Brighton. Blowing a right hooley. Mrs DJp got blow across the road.
Jon otis Do you actually like that kind of temperature?I I appreciate you’re on holiday and not grafting in it but those temps kill me.
otis Jon nowt i can do about it. Never been that hot over here this time of year before. Usually a bit cloudy. Killing me with the walking but still managing it. However I'm going to ask the travis or yp what them hokas are like for walking as this Uneeks are getting some hammer and me feet are starting to feel a bit battered with callouses. 64 miles in 4 days. Think I need to invest
Jon In the bath, just got back from a full backpack humping yomp around town. The hiking boots I’ve worn for two years without issue have suddenly started to rub. Got Darn Tough socks on so that’s not the issue. Anyone any thoughts on hiking in trainers?
Djpekingman otis Been over 30 for over 3 months now. It was supposed to get cooler last week. It didn't. Looking forwards to some rain and respite.
Jon otis Comfy as fuck, didn’t last long though. I like Altras but the lining in the heel has worn in one pair, I have two pairs and I’ve been alternating wearing them. Brashers not what they were?
otis Jon not doing hills or dales anymore so mendls stagnant at moment. With flat and that more road walking so need something comfortable on concrete
Jon otis Mephisto’s would work for me but Hoka’s are comfy as long as you don’t expect them to last as long as a proper pair of hiking boots
otis Placid yes I do fancy it next year but how we going to get back ? Train and stay over somewhere midway?
Placid otis Can get train back from Dent. The route is Ilkley to Bowness on Windemere. Will most likley do it in stages. With train stations so can get there and back. It's a pretty gentle one, mostly following rivers in Dales
