YoungParisian_inExile Travis_Bickle as opposed to ocean fishing , lake fishing, very popular in France , so much so that Le Monde did a big feature on it. Gets people out , you don’t need much gear, off their phones, healthy activity. What’s wrong with that ?
Djpekingman YoungParisian_inExile It does sound pretty pretentious 'Urban Street fishing' ffs. They never called it that on the Leeds Liverpool navvy. It was just fishing. Even angling was not an 'in vogue' term. Mate of mine calls it fishing, end of. No poncey terms required.
otis Djpekingman read the mags (fishing ones Angling times etc). All want to make it sexy and why not if it gets young uns involved But you are right its just fishing on the navvy or river. YoungParisian_inExile @Djpekingman @Travis_Bickle It’s been termed Urban or street as there’s been a huge uptake with teens in urban areas as opposed to ocean fishing where you need a boat or in nature where you might need a car to get there . I think it’s a positive thing. Much like downhill mountain biking is called that and a road bike is that and not just a bike or rugby with 13 players is League and not just rugby & I could go on , but hey ……….
