Don't know of your mates parents, the couple who have it now have only had the pub a few years, they've got enough money in the bank (not made from the pub) to not need the hard work running a village pub requires. They also run the Three Horseshoes in Wensley just 3 miles away.Two and half years we've been here but would never be classed as locals. There's people who've lived here all their lives, but because one of their great great grandparents was born in the next village, they're not 'local' :)When I finish work on a Friday, every weekend still feels like I'm on holiday up here. I hope that never wears off.

Not now but earlier today, couldn't type at the time due to some vague childhood trauma. That motorway under a motorway at the side of Meadowhall. Avoided it like the plague for years but unexpectedly got channelled on to it today. Don't quote me but I think years ago an earthquake flattened a load of people in a similar place abroad somewhere, remember seeing it on The News, next day My Dad was driving us under the Motorway near Sheffield, only young at the time but remember holding my head under a coat on the back seat, half expecting a million tonnes of concrete to turn us in to pancakes.
