Fucking gorgeous here.

I know that I often joke about living in the frozen North but this is fucking ridiculous. The odd day with a temperature over 19 degrees would be nice.

Still persevering with shorts as summer is supposed to be here soon. Might be give up soon though. The American's that I work with in Minneapolis laugh at how we complain about the weather. A couple of winters ago, my boss couldn't go to the office because his childrens school was shut. I asked if the roads were really bad, but it was due to the fact they were concerned that the children might actually freeze to death. Anyway i don't live by the adage that there is always someone worse off than you, so will continue to complain how cold i am, and as soon as it gets too hot will complain again. I am always a little happier when i have something to complain about.

Hazy, hot and humid today. Going up to 90f, with humidity added in that will feel like 100f. Electric bill will be through the roof this month as the AC is running flat out. My least favourite season. When I retire I will head north not south. I bet your gaffer cannot recall another time the schools were closed. They just carry on as normal over there usually.

I'd recommend Vermont Cuts - loved it up there. Burlington has a good vibe and near enough to Champlains and skiing (if you're into that)

Never encountered that problem Mol - I've seen more ticks in Co Clare to be honest!

And you could catch a lot worse in Clare ;)

The plan is Maine. I like been close to the ocean. Hard to believe but a lot of those picturesque New England places are going through a huge heroin problem right now.I'm always on at the kids to keep away when the deer get in our yard.

If I ever have a bob again then somewhere on the coast for me too. Cannot beat the sea, especially in winter.

Comparable house to ours now 2/3 the price. Property taxes less than 20% of what we pay now. Cold winters but I'll pay someone to clear the snow and it's not like I'll have to actually get up and go work outside. Less humid hot, hot summers, that's the big draw.

Today's northeastern Pennsylvania "mountain" report: wind, rain, sun, wind, rain, sun, wind ... *oh, shut up, says to himself*. Strange weather these days. At least up here there are no tornadoes *knocks wood* Ticks, yes; bears, too. Can't remember it being this green, almost looks like Norfolk. Close to heaven, then.

Ignore this thread, sun's out.

Bears are a plus, ticks are a minus.

Cracking t'flags here in SW1And Pip - comparing the "mountain" report to Norfolk - priceless :D

You don't see any peaks here, as the top of the Pocono Mountains is a plateau, so that's how I kid myself. Especially when the leaves turn yellow. The weather's settled a bit--less humid. But at least we don't need an air conditioner in the summer. What's happening up North? It looked glorious in Manchester yesterday for the T20 match. Nasser Hussain said it was the only time he's driven up the M6 and seen the weather improve.

Don't need AC in the Poconos? I know a bloke lives in Nazareth, taught me AC. He has AC. Is that near you? Is that classed as The Poconos?

Next week, come on you big hot fucker.
