Didn't see it but brought up to speed by my mate's son (18) tonight. He talked about it in somewhat dismissive terms but seemed really excited about Connor McGregor and the UFC. Has boxing lost the younger generation?Was told today that an old mate of mine has a nephew who is boxing and has landed a part in a six part drama playing a boxer. Bit of good news. Apparently his trainer uses the fact he's not even the hardest in his family as motivation.

Fights of the Year on Sky. Still don't get the Kovalev decision. I read a piece in The Independent that reckoned Ward 'out-boxed' him by making him 'hold and not hit'. I just don't get it. Kovalev has called him out on Twitter but apparently Ward doesn't fancy the rematch. Kathy Duva says they can enforce it. They need to do it again I reckon.

Not seen it but seems the Degale v Jack fight was some tear up.No idea what the fuck a majority draw is but the consensus is that if Degale had stayed on his feet in the last round,he'd now be a double champ.

Brutal. Fight of the year contender in January. I like Badou Jack and have increasing admiration for Degale since he took training seriously and got fitter. He was a right lazy bastard and the Groves loss seemed to shake him up. Great fight. If there is a rematch I don't think either fighter will have too many after that. Too damaging.

Just watched the highlights of the Frampton v Santa Cruz rematch,looks like it was another proper tear up with Santa Cruz getting the decision this time.All lined up for fight no 3 hopefully and this time over here maybe
