I enjoyed the fight and I enjoyed the tension. It went to plan for bellew. At the end of the day, haye can punch and bellew fought exactly how he needed to for the first five rounds. Letting haye come on and making him miss. Bellew never really took a full punch. Bellew is a fool if he stays at heavy. The extra weight he carried did him no good at all. He nearly punched himself out in the rounds where he had haye where he wanted him and was blowing out his arse... deontay wilder is fit and athletic at the weight.

I was very disappointed with the garcia thurman fight. A welterweight unification fight should be a fuckin belter.. but it wasn't. I actually preferred the bellew haye scrap. And no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reggie lad..we don't need another weight division!

And kell Brook would unify the titles. Wish he would

Yeah I'd agree with that reg. Warrington is good but it's his lack of power that will stop him progressing. Selby would do him. I would love to see Frampton v selby

Can't see mayweather fighting mcgregor... and I think if it did happen then it would be ufc that comes off worst. Mcgregor wouldn't land one punch. He would be hideously out boxed with ease

It's saddened me for a long time the way the governing bodies have ruined the sport. I agree with the amount of weight classes but four recognised world titles per weight is a joke. 17 weight divisions and four champs per division meaning you can have 68 world champs. Add in the IBO and (is there another? Can't think) then they are taking the piss. I understand how tough the sport is and how very little money fighters make unless it's for a title. But all these international belts and stuff have watered down our domestic belts.. it used to be a big thing to be an area champion. Then 3 defences of the British title gave you that beautiful belt to keep forever.. European, commonwealth maybe and then a proper world title.. people like Chris pyatt, Tony Sibson, Colin jones et al would have been world champs in today's age. But the dilution of the title 'world champ' has undoubtedly damaged the sport.. when the IBf became recognised, that was one too many.. such a shame. TV hasn't helped and it's all thatchers fault with a bit of help from Rupert

I completely forgot about pyatt having the wbo title.. I guess my point is that there are matches to be made for a title but that doesn't anyway mean that the best is fighting the best. Sibson against hagler, you are correct. Hagler was far far better. But these days if hagler was say, wbc champ, the other title holders would probably duck him and fight their mandatory man or any other than hagler. They have a choice.
Cuts
Nothing more than a passing interest in it all these days. Some of the shit Hate was coming out with in the build up was pitiful. What ever happened to the good old days of Gary Mason saying Frank Bruno has something I want and Frank laughing and saying I've got something I want to give you? No stupid threats about doing permanent damage to ypour opponent. Promoters should reign that shit in.Sibson was a weird shape, broad but short, outclassed by Hagler but so too were many men. Wonder how he'd have faired with Eubank? The odd fight intrigues me. I thought Thurman Garcia was a good match up though i haven't watched it yet. GGG is worth watching too though I think he's running out of viable opponents.

Didn't Hagler say something about Sibson being one of the hardest hitters he'd faced?Haye was pathetic in the build up. Cuts is right that all that 'put you in hospital' stuff is bollocks at the best of times but there have been fighters where at least they've seemed like it's part of them. Haye was playing at something he isn't. Even going to Miami and all that shouting and screeching on the pads stuff. Pads don't hit back. Bellew can be a cock but I think he has more about him then people give him credit for. He plays a role well, the whole 'I hate this game' stuff. He's making he could never have dreamed of seeing a few years ago. That's why he won't fight the winner of Huck v Briedis. If the way British fighting is these days is anything to go by he'll give Haye a rematch. Big cash, no titles. And not the risk of fighting Wilder

Exactly. I suspect he'll be told not to risk it by the medics. The powers that be will be looking closely as well. For a bloke who knows so much about boxing and speaks so well about it, I did wonder why Malignaggi was even in that ring. Really hope he calls time in it now. The Magic Man documentary is well worth a watch for those who haven't seen it.
