On first look that was brutal. Totally misjudged Fury in the early stages of his career when the likes of @Reggie were championing him. Where that ranks in the history of heavyweight title fights it’s hard to say but it’s got to be up there. I stand by what I say about his height and weight. I any other era Wilder would be regarded as a giant. I think Wilder should walk away. He took some seriously heavy shots. Maybe Fury should too. A win glosses over a multitude of sins but he took some punishment too. Shots that would’ve sent most other fighters to sleep. They fought like middleweights. Like two Nigel Benns, fuck body shots.

Jon can he keep climbing the mountain? 33 isn't old but Usyk is something else. AJ shouldn't trouble a 100% Fury but he was far from that last last night even though he performed brilliantly. They are the only two fights worth anything to Fury. Maybe Whyte if cleaning out the era is something hecwants to do.

WBC apparently confimed Whyte would be Fury's mandatory defence. Usyk v Joshua also confirmed. Fury appears to have Larry Holmes like powers of recovery.
I suppose Whyte could come up and fight at the Globe arena.....

Joshua doesn't have that, he gets stunned and freezes. With Fury it's instinct.

white_dragon I doubt Tyson Fury takes advice off the likes of me, but if he did, which he should, he should try and unify the titles, defend them once and retire. Create a top 3 legacy and walk away.

As good a spectacle that the trilogy has been, he's been buzzed 5 or 6 times v. Wilder, and that will have damaged his brain. He was concussed after this one.

He's got money in the bank, a loving young family and hopefully now some balance/peace/focus in his life.

Reggie_Perrin Joshua is the media pleasing sexy hulk that all the women (and I am sure many men) yearn to be like. As so he has every bloody advertising contract going, from rubbing body stuff over his semi naked body to wearing tight lycra bottoms. And a load of other stuff in between.

Misura Totally agree. I fear though, the damage has probably already going to take its toll in later life. If heading footballs leads to dementia in later life , blows to the head off heavy weight boxers surely will.

90Piesanhour Defo been a bit of a knob in the past, but I think he’s mellowed a bit now. I didn’t like him for years, but have warmed to him in recent times, mainly because he’s one hell of a boxer. And he does make me laugh. Best not to take him too seriously and just appreciate the man’s talent.

He has the WBC belt which as an out of touch fan of boxing like myself has always been the big one. For me his connections should concentrate solely on making the Joshua fight even if he has to relinquish the title. That's where the money would be and I'm guessing is the one the fans most want to see.
If the fight doesn't happen then there's always likely to be a hint of disappointment over both their careers.
I'm not sure Joshua would take the fight.
