Funny you should mention that ScootsI was thinking earlier that Khan is a poor mans Hamed - I get your point about hating him but he was a much better natural boxer than Khan in my book. Handled properly, and with someone who could get him to focus on boxing rather than bling, and he could have made it really bigI don't see that with Khan. Good technical boxer but has no real punching power and a glass chain - not a good combination!?!

A mate of mine, Mark mcreath(former two time European challenger) used to train Hamed and did 100s of rounds sparring with him reckoned he hit as hard as a middleweight. He said he had it all. He got hugely big headed very quickly and banded the word legend round far too much. After the war with kelly and the barrera loss he didn't have the desire to become a legend did he. A few months before the car crash I was in Sheffield with a pal walking up the town from the leadmill. We heard this huge engine roar and skidding tyres for ages at different intervals. Obviously some prick in a car rarsing through the lights and centre. Then it flies round the corner at warp speed in a 30. NAS 1. on his mclaren. I said to donny dave (very very tough kid) please fuckin knock him out mate. Gladly he said. But Hamed roared off at the green light with people cheering him. What a full weight cunt

I love watching Khan. No one expected him to win last night precisely because of his chin, so he shouldn't take a fight because he's not expected to win? That's why boxing is shit, because so many managers avoid tough challenges for their fighters. A great boxing talent with a glass jaw. Most people would have found another trade.I don t think Khan did anything wrong. Canelo is no mug and simply worked out a way to get in range and to unload a bomb but it took him five rounds to do so. The level of concentration Khan has to fight at !must be unreal. Watch it again, that's a punch that would have stopped a lot of great boxers. Khan for me has been the most compelling boxer in recent times. Naz King Of The Ring Walk and nothing else.

That punch by canelo would have stopped anyone cuts, you're right. But that lazy jab by khan that he left hanging by his waist exposing his chin is exactly why he is not top-level world class. Of course he needs to concentrate. Every fighter has to concentrate for every second of every round. You switch off you lose. And a lot of fights are fights of two halves. Canelo worked him out from round five but it was khan's mistake it ended the way it did.

You could technically say that's how all fights are decided; one fighter capitalizes on another's mistake.
