I know that I keep banging on about this but it's, truly, tragic. A volunteer that I was speaking to from one of the other MRT's said " We're there to rescue, not to judge". Frankly, I'd have battered the cunts and thrown them off the fell.

Reggie_Perrin I'd like the option of just the crowd noise, even the current piped in noise is better than listening to anything said, they're fucking morons the lot of them - they know nowt, resort to 30 year old cliches as commentary, and turn a blind eye to all sorts of shit. Total shite.

Reggie_Perrin Last season Leeds were on ESPN+, pretty obscure online channel and a couple of times the YTS kid forgot to flick the switch to bring the commentary back on after half time, just the real crowd noise - it was ace, just following the match and the crowd, so much more enjoyable. I might start watching the Spanish language versions when crowds are back in, easier to ignore a commentary you don't understand.

Mike_Jones I find the arabic feeds strangely relaxing. There was a German one for the Man U game where the commentary was so low key I wondered if they might be stoned. We had french commentary for the WHU game, they were slightly more excitable but still much preferable to Andy fucking Townsend.

Some of the established lot, well Martin Tyler, aren't bad but I am assuming because every match is now televised, and on several sources rather than Sky, we are scraping the barrel regarding getting decent commentators. And we must be getting the dregs as well when it comes to some of the supporting acts.

heyho Tyler is of that generation where a match on TV was associated with Sunday dinner smells or big European nights. His voice triggers memories of those.

Some random statto gobshit with Andy Hinchliffe piping up about winning the FA cup once is irritating beyond belief. If you could get Leeds games on digital radio I’d put that on instead.

Reggie_Perrin I did find the LUFC TV commentaries when we were in the Championship somewhat challenging as well. Espiecally when that woman came on before the match, at half time and at the end wearing very little and carrying a hell of a lot.
