You’ll sometimes come across cyclists (usually a club ride,) two abreast. Probably makes them feel safer and if you’re a driver, no more of a delaying nuisance than a tractor. If they’re paying attention, on a long narrow stretch, someone in the group will give a shout and they should single out.
If I’m on my own on a rural road and aware of a car behind, I’ll look ahead and wave the driver past as soon as possible. I don’t like the idea of hindering anyone and it usually gets a favourable acknowledgement.
I really don’t understand the animosity (though much of it’s manufactured) between drivers and cyclists. Especially when commuting and it’s simply a case of people going out to earn a living, via different means of transport.
Just to be clear, I have no time for cunts who cycle in the dark with no lights, or the cunts who ignore red lights, Zebras etc., They just get us all a bad name.
And also bear in mind that whatever happens in a vehicular collision, we always come off worst
