Bod 90Piesanhour aren't they poisonous? There were quite a few round there, only seen them before in books.
SardineTree Harvest Lived there for 5 years or so now. Great little town, but yes struggling since lockdown. Still, some fine pubs and eateries.
Harvest SardineTree I was sat at the lights looking at the beautiful old windows of one closed up pub, Chequers maybe? Real shame.
SardineTree Harvest No Chequers in Kboro and all but 2 pubs open weekends - some shut Mondays and Tuesdays. May have been the Sam Smith pub on the high street. Not been open since initial lockdown - but if you know anything about Humphrey Smith, you'll know he doesn't do the 'normal'!
Jon 90Piesanhour I’m a big fan of a trip to the tip. Tip, car wash, chip shop would be one hell of a day.
Harvest SardineTree Found it on Google Earth - The Board Inn. Knew it was something to do with chequers or something.
Reggie_Perrin Jon the full bifters? Fish, nerks, scraps, fishcakes, breadcakes, curry sauce, mushy peas?

space Bod The safest way to ingest them (according to the Sami herders) is to get your reindeer to eat them first and then collect and drink their piss.
90Piesanhour Bod Apparently you can eat them, but you need to prepare them carefully. I think Jamie Oliver did a programme about it once.
SardineTree Harvest About to become flats with possibly a micro-brewery downstairs. Closed long before lockdown. Before closure, run by a Leeds SC lad, big LUFC pub.
Under-the-ground Good job I drove all the way to Bristol queued up went through security then my ticket didn’t work. fontaine dc are playing Wednesday not tonight
Jon Under-the-ground They’re good live. Underwhelmed by the production of the first album though, too slick.
