Anchor what's working for me (so far) is before I go out putting a reminder in my google calendar for the time I want to go home to to say "Go home, remember how it feels".

Might have set it half hour too late yesterday on reflection but nevertheless it worked. It immediately reminds me of why I need to vamoosh. Got the idea from a John Cleese quit smoking video where he recommended keeping some stale fags in a small jar and to smell it when you got the cravings.

Had a great night last night watching a Creedence Clearweater Revival tribute band named, well Creedence Clearwater Revival Revival. Absolutely awesome. Came on at 9pn and went off at 11:27 with a 10 minute break. A set list of only their songs and they could play!
Tody off to Pontefract, despite the rain, to see a band called the 189ers. One of them is Andy Prowler. Really looking forward to these as I used to love a band called Four Horsemen that Andy was in. A pint or two of Corona in Wetherspoons and maybe mixed grill for lunch.

heyho CCRR are brilliant. Pals of my best mate. They played his 50th birthday bash at The Grove a few years back, my pal got up and sang with them for a few (he's a great singer/guitar player). The drummer is the landlord of The Grove, owns Dave's Pie & Ales on Kirkstall Road too.

There’s some ace tribute bands out there. Saw a Madness one once about 30 years ago. One of the best gigs I’ve ever been to. The T Rex one are really good as well.

After a sesh watching the amazing CCRR in the D&D on Saturday decided to brave the rain and wind and got the bus to Pontefract. Never has a sesh around Pontie, Obviously (for me) I spent most of the time in the Wetherspoons but ended up in the Printers Draft. Really good bar.

I was there to watch The 189ers (the name is based on the bus route 189 apparently that used to server Castleford. They played a mix of known stuff like Neil Young, Jam, Billy Bragg etc and also a few of their own including a few, and may I say really really good, humorous political numbers targeted at the likes of Boris.

Also had a really good chat with Andy Prowler. The guy has written some really good stuff but he was saying he finds it hard to do it now. Shame that.

5 pints of corona, 4 bottles of the stuff and a doube G&T means my head is a little thick today.

All interspersed with loads of jobs to do, job hunting, drinking, reading, music, films etc

Bowl round Norbury later, fish and chips for tea.

Saturday over to stiperstones and a five mile walk there and a few in the Bridges after before back to the van and prawns and spaghetti for uz tay.

Listening to music, the radio and reading wil lalso be happening.

Out of covid jail Saturday. Golf at 8.15 , home to watch game . Up the road after the game for some food in one local, then a few beers in the other. Probably home for 10 , fall asleep in front of telly.
Meeting builder at our down size project on Sunday morning. Mother in law round for lunch ,as postponed mother's day , covid. Back to work Monday ,after the full 10 day covid break.
