Foxy_Dread I fucked up at building college. Everyone else bar a lad from Chapeltown came from a family that had their own company. First day there they told us the two year course was now a three year course. That’s before going to uni. Had notions of been an architect. I was good at it too. Technical drawing I was first in our school even though I did most of my homework five minutes before it was due to be handed in. Lad from Chapeltown quit, I just stopped going after that. Old man was going to kick me out the house. Think that’s the only time I remember my Mam sticking up for me.
Still, all part of life and all that…

We had this yesterday with my own take on shwarma.

A Syrian family did the hummus, babaganoush and red pepper walnut thing for us for xmas. I bought some fresh made chappatis from Abu Bakr and fried left over turkey in shwarma spice, olive oil and chopped herbs (tarrogan, parsley and thyme). With lemon juice.

Served with sliced red onion, chopped parsley with sumac and lemon juice.

Nice work WD.. it's in the top 5 in Leeds IMO. Was the first South Indian place in Leeds, there's a few more now. Think Rick Stein did something on it. Used to do a lunch special, we hammered it when workign in town.

Thalis and Dhosas are worth a go, bit different to the Punjab/Kashmoir stuff we're all used to.
