90Piesanhour Just had a shepherds pie made with Quorn mince. Absolutely delicious. I would challenge any carnivore to try it and tell me it wasn't meat. All the family enjoyed it.
CBIT 90Piesanhour now see, I do a mean Bolognese sauce and tried making it with Quorn the other week, no comparison to mince, the texture is all wrong for starters.
90Piesanhour CBIT Try shepherds pie. Seems to work. I made a chilli with Quorn, which wasn't quite right, but this worked brilliantly.
Travis_Bickle The Mrs made meat lasagne for tea tonight. Delicious. But she also makes a Quorn mince one. Different but just as nice. I think the mistake is trying to replicate the taste of meat as opposed to making Quorn taste good.
Reggie_Perrin Made a really nice (sort of) carbonara. Lardons, onions, spaghetti and cheesed it up with left over Christmas cheese.
Harvest Had a splendid Vietnamese beef fried rice takeaway, picked up after a couple of drinks with the wife. All very civilized.
