Our current ride is a silver one. It was a build issue rather than a design issue. You had to be really careful when filling the cooling system or you'd get air locks and overheating issues. Even the brummie cunts in the factory didn't get it right all the time. You have to take them to someone who knows what they're doing if you get work done on them.

Djpekingman space They had cast iron block and an alloy head which was very prone to warping, exacerbated by their cooling issues (of which there were several). So in my book that makes it a design issue. A lot of folk loaded Ford engines into them if I remember rightly. I always fancied one cos I think they're lovely looking motors, but the engine issues put me off.
