when my mum died 5 yers ago she had various bits of gold jewellery . not enough to share among the 4 of us siblings but enough to melt them down and have 4 of these custom made out of 18 cr gold. jeweller valued them at 500 quid apiece for insurance, but in reality they are priceless. going to get mine engraved on the back with Champions 2025

otis Are they a German company? They have an online site, through Reverb, that’s based in Connecticut. I’ve never actually seen one in the flesh but the reviews say that you get a lot for your money.

How much does the luthier charge? What can they do that you can’t do?

A desk, wardrobe, dressing table, bedside cabinet, some sort of shelf unit and a tv corner unit. Cost me a bomb this weekend. And a new floor and boiler.

Jon about 25 to 40 depending, they can do it in a lot less time and know what they are on about. I took a squier affinity ( very cheap) to one in Oxford. It's as good as my squier

I have bought a new push iron. The Lapierre I had finally gave up so to speak. The rear hub collapsed and it's an odd size. 26" wheel with 142mm hub spacing and I could not find one. Well I could but it was best part of £200 so I used my nieces F&F code from Halfords and bought a Carrera Fury. Got good reviews on Bike Radar and the like. Halfords would not my first choice but the hefty disco swayed me.

Fingers crossed I can get a few quid spares and repairs for the Lapierre to cover some of the cost.
