MolOverBeethoven I've got one of the two drawer Ninja ones and it gets used at least once every single day. They're brilliant for single portion meals.
Number 1 tip is to get some silicon liners - the paper ones are gash. Tip Number 2 is wash it every time you use it, even if you've used a liner still give it a quick wash out. If you don't they get groady really quick.
I buy sides of salmon when they go for half price special offer in the supermarkets, cut them into single portions and vaccum pack them with herbs (dill. parsley. Spices. Whatever.), sliced lemon and a knob of butter. It runs to less than a couple of quid for a decent portion. I take them out of the freezer the day before I want one for lunch. 9-12 minutes in the airfryer and you're sorted for lunch.
Which reminds me... get a vacuum packer if you don't have one. They cut down your food waste. I've found that since Bexit food use by dates are far more an aspiration than a good estimate of the items life expectancy. Chicken particularly never gets to it's "use by". I split down big trays of chicken the day I buy it, keep out what I'll use today and tomorrow and vac pack and freeze the rest. I went from throwing away half the meat I bought to throwing away nothing.
Tune in next week and we'll talk about food dehydrators.
