Rudi what I have realised is I need about 15% of this stuff.

Spend the most on the amp. Guitars aren't as important. Pedals are just salt and pepper on the meal.

Wow, that's some sonic line-up that. I'm thinking of getting a couple of those Electro Harmonix pedals (?). The guitarist in our band has got a Soul Food and a Canyon through a Showman. I'm eyeing up one of those 40 watt Fenders. I only wanted this guitar for recording into Logic, but now I suddenly seem to have convinced myself I can be the new Johnny Marr at the age of 53 and only knowing 6 chords. I'm now picking guitar straps to match my shirts. Fuck me. It's ace.

I wish I could play an instrument. Music has been at the forefront of the vast majority of my life, since I was bought Gary Glitters Touch Me album back in 72 or 73 for Christmas. And the enjoyment the likes of Ramones, New Order, Neil Young and James have given we in the subsequent 5 decades is immense and got me through many a low point in my life.

But I still cant play a fucking note.

Same here @heyho I tried guitar and bass and faioled badly. sang in abnd fpor a bit but that was also bollocks as I can't sing! Still - I bloody love listening to music!

Anchor I was in a pub on Saturday and there was a karaoke on (which I would never ever participate in) and she asked me if i did then what song would I sing. probably something from Johnny Cash i said, I could reach his low notes lol
