The Mist and Fisto dubs on the M1 motorway bridge were there for donkey's years. I remember all of the blockbuster letter things on the side of The Roxy in town too. It was funny that South Yorkshire was covered and there was little, if any, graffiti in Leeds back then. Odd tags and pieces but a world away from Sheffield/Doncaster etc.
Same with hip hop in general. Nottingham, Manchester and other places had massive 'scenes' compared to Leeds.
