Grayson Perry Has Seen the Future. He's an odd one is Grayson, but he's really grown on me. This doc on AI and the tech weirdoes in California is well worth a look. The issues discussed here are really quite frightening. AI seems to have been rushed in by the backdoor. There is little or no regulation or government control over what it is being used for (see Grok) and the discussion here varies from the number of university graduated jobs that will be lost to it or simply de-skilled as AI takes over. Then there is the question of what happens when AI develops a conciousness and makes decisions detrimental to mankind as a whole. Combined with robotics there could be deadly serious consequences as humankind loses control to the bots. And then there is the question of rogue states winding bots up to cause tech anarchy.
While I wouldn't mind watching the earth cave in itself from afar, I'm not sure I want to be in the midst of it all. Being 67 means I may not, but stuff is moving so quickly now I may well get caught up in it.
