A very hard watch. But is the country really back to normal . Seemed a shit show before hand. How can you chop some one up with machetes when they’re alive? A bad situation.

Under-the-ground Back to normal? I'm not sure - the number of tooled up military style dibble all over the place would suggest not, but for the majority it's probably better than it was before. I got the impression much of what was said in the interviews was scripted and people in general seemed afraid of speaking out else they'd end up in the the same concentration camp (let's call it what it is). But that what happens when you elect a dictator - he tells you what you want to hear then goes and does what HE wants.

Finally got through the end of Shifty. An incredible piece of work, that highlights beyond doubt the change made to society by Thatcherism and her blind advocacy of monetarism. Then made even worse by Blair taking the reins off the banking sector to leave us where we are today - no society that cares anymore but one that is controlled by finance and big tech for the benefit of finance and big tech. You can see it everwhere today - no customer service, no bank branches or (not so) friendly bank managers. No one to raise issues with or complain, every man is now an island and with global warming increasing year on year the waves are lapping at your island's shores.

I've been enjoying Eastenders of late.

It's very meta at the moment and has some genuinely funny moments.

The other week they did their thing in the boozer where someone airs their dirty laundry to a packed pub. Ian Beale and George whatshisface both pulled up chairs and sat in front of them like a cinema audience. Tickled me anyway.

That Pryha is very easy on the eye as well.
