Binged series 2 over two nights.

Apparently they've outlined 5 series. Which would fit with the pre-credit sequences of BTK and his 'recent' capture.

Great TV. Bill Tench is stealing the acting chops.

Flaneur Tench is great. I think the story with Brian detracts from a great show. It doesn’t need it.
The real people it’s based on are interesting characters in their own right. Best tv I’ve seen in a while.

Agreed. Though I suspect it is to show how much their home lives are falling apart. You can't help but think that the kid is exhibiting traits that lead to future problems. And with Dr Wendy Carr, her sexuality in a time when things were, well less open as now, is at odds with how Tench thinks (dyke comment).

I'm rooting for that black detective Albert Jones/Jim Barney to be invited to join the team. He has a good presence.

I don't like when a series ends! City on a Hill has been mentioned to me, you started watching that?

Flaneur Haven't even heard of City. Mindhunter is not my usual fare but it's so well done it totally drew me in. After reading about the real people the characters are based on I sort of wished they'd stayed truer to who they were, they were fascinating in their own right. It feels a bit like a lot of shows right now, ticking boxes. Carr for instance advised and never left Boston College as far as I'm aware. That could have been a great story line in its own right. I think there'd be tension enough in the Trench household without Brian been involved in a kids death.
Probably just me, it is a great show and I might have been better off not looking into it too much. It's not easy been cynical all the time.

The I-Land.

Probably the worst Netflix original I have yet seen. It kind of starts off as a second rate "Lost" remake and then rapidly gets worse until you feel robbed of the life you expended watching it.
