Watched the first two episodes of Sophie A Murder In West Cork last night. Everyone around Schull seems bat shit crazy. I want to live there. Some of the characters are seriously out there but somehow or other they all seem to be get on and getting by in a beautiful part of the world. It’s easy to forget someone has been murdered when you’re laughing at some of the things that get said, like the news reporter saying, ‘The murder is ongoing.’ The detective who’s following the evidence wherever it may take him like a cross between Columbo and Sherlock Holmes. Poets, writers, nutters all.
She had no curtains in her bedroom, she was enthralled by the lighthouse and loved to read by its light. Be like two words every revolution. I feel a bit bad finding humour in it, I mean, there’s a dead woman at the center of it but I got a kick out of a lot of the people in the show.
I want to live there right now.
