You non-UK living OMJers are getting this out of perspective. If you just read the news you get the idea that the whole country is ablaze and there is a civil war going on. Truth is, if you added up every single "protest" in the UK you'd have a few thousand people who are more often than not outnumbered by counter protesters. This is not a mass movement, despite the way "X" is amplifying the dialogue. This is a relatively small bunch of cunts that are doing not much damage and are being ground down. When it hits them that they are losing their jobs over this shit they'll drift back into the fucking shadows like they did in the 80s.

space You're right Space its a minority ... but when was the last time the UK had 30 'demostrations' predicted for one day. The country is now on travel advisory warnings from numerous countries ... that for me puts it in perspective.

I've been back a year now and it's not just the demos though, you can feel the difference here since Brexit.
There's a definite change, or deepening of an underlying trend ... people feel empowered to speak and behave as if there is no consequence to their actions, and if anything it's fuelled by those in charge, politicians, media and authority.

Germany has the same social issues, are they Brexit? French rioting - is that Brexit too?

The sentencing regarding the current crop of rioters is going to be dictated by the number of people arrested and the complete lack of prison space. Fuck knows where Starmer is getting these 500 cells he's been going on about. Perhaps he should ironically convert some Holiday Inns into rioter prison spaces.
