Enjoy the Emirates, only been once and that was a Brazil v Italy game, so there was atmosphere at that. Shame they left Highbury, a beautiful stadium. That and Maine Rd were my 2 favourite away grounds. Maine Rd had a real "football " atmosphere to it.

I'd agree with you that. When we came up in 89/90 and for a good few years after, Arsenal tickets were always a couple of quid cheaper than all the other big London grounds. Can't imagine that's the case now.

I lived in Finsbury Park when I first moved to London and was in the seats on the tunnel side of the pitch, the game we went 2 up, 91ish, but drew 2-2 (FA Cup). When the second went in, a good 30 of us were out of our seats.

I was always annoyed that I couldn't get a ticket for the game we won with 9 men, but I can't moan. I was at the one where George Graham was on his way out and Phil Masinga scored and until the day I die I won't forget being at the Viduka "offside " winner. I never bothered with Upper St as a supporter, only a "local" but that's a great drinking street for away fans.
I was also at the Friday night game where we got battered and was drinking in the Cock with a couple of lads and the Grange Hill Gooner was in there. He was in London s Burning, but got set up by a tabloid saying he could supply cocaine. Alford? or something similar. What was funny was some of our lot shouted you were that bloke who used to be on the telly aren't you. Felt a bit sorry for him.
