Thoroughly deserved win. Just nice to have a bit of a cushion for a change, not hanging on for a 1-0.
QPR were a decent side and moved it around well. They had an odd shape and from goal kicks even odder. They’re a thing now aren’t they, goal kicks, all very choreographed, and all very annoying.
Plus points. Roberts, ran his knackers off, difficult to pick up in that position . Took his goal well and nearly scored a scorcher late on. Good link up play and movement.
White, best centre half we’ve had in years. Calm, assured, strong. Couple of surging runs through the middle. He’ll be onto bigger things at some point, international possibly? Let’s enjoy him for now.
Leif Davis - on as sub. Had a big impact in a few short minutes, fast as fuck. Saw his debut at Villa and he was poor but looks the business now.
Bamford had a mixed game. Strong running and hold up play but missed three reasonably straightforward chances. Thought the bloke in front of me was going to have a heart attack with each chance going begging. Not defending him, not attacking him, he’s very very average but it’s all we have right now. A few seasons ago he’d be getting booed, the crowd’s more tolerant now but he really doesn’t help himself.
